Going to the Pro Bowl
2008
photo credit: miszbabykiss Each year the NFL has a Pro Bowl game in Hawaii. This year you will see some of the top ten most bought Jerseys and some other that should have been in the top ten also. This list will hopefully help give some other top players the attention and respect they deserve.
1) Chris Cooley, Cooley is an excellent Tight End for the Washington Redskins, Every week Chris plays his heart out and is a key player in the Redskins machine. This year he is getting a spot among the elite as he plays at the Pro Bowl.
2) Jason Witten, Witten is probably the most well known Tight End in the NFC division. Not only is he ranked amongst the top 5 this season but he plays for the Dallas Cowboys. As everyone knows Dallas is " America's Team."
3) Roddy White, White is one of the top Wide Receivers for the Atlanta Falcons. White is one of several players that have helped the Falcons to do so well this season.
4) Steve Smith, Smith is what you could call an average Joe that everyone seems to love. If you like the Carolina Panthers or not you have to be impressed with his skills as a Wide Receiver. Steve has had some incredible moments this season and is sure to continue do so.
5) Larry Fitzgerald, Larry is without doubt one if not the best Wide Receiver that the Arizona Cardinals have. Larry has helped along side Warner, to take The Cardinals to a divisional win and maybe even to the Superbowl.
6) Anquan Boldin, Boldin just like Fitzgerald has helped push the Cardinals to win after win. By doing so helping them advance to a shot at playing in the Superbowl.
7) Michael Turner, With the shape the Atlanta Falcons were in last year this Rookie Running Back, has put new life into their game and has done more than his share of the work to help the Falcons get to where they are at today. Turner week after week plays to win and it shows.
8.) Clinton Portis, The Washington Redskins had came off a bad season last season also, but with help from Clinton they have done very well for themselves this year. Clinton may not be in the top 5 every week, but it's his desire to win that has helped Washington to turn around, and win the games that they have.
9) Adrian Peterson, Peterson from the Minnesota Vikings is almost every week among the top 5 Running Backs on the NFL list. Peterson has bad weeks just like anyone else, but even in those weeks he still out performs so many other well players. That reason alone is why he will be playing in the Pro Bowl in Feb 2009.
10) Eli Manning Eli the little brother of probably the most well known Quarterback in the NFL in the past five years. Eli beside being Payton's little brother is also last year's Superbowl Champion and the Quarterback for the New York Giants.
11) Drew Brees, Even though the New Orleans Saints are not having a very good season , Brees has had to overcome some very intense problems such as losing their star Wide Receiver in week two, and then two weeks later losing their Tight End Jeremy Shockey to a sports hernia and in week seven losing the biggest player Reggie Bush due to an injury at the Carolina Panthers game. Brees has still out performed many other Quarterback stats this season, and is on his way of possibly breaking a record set by Joe Montana.
12) Kurt Warner, Kurt had to basically win his spot as starting Quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals. Kurt has shown with out doubt that the coach's and owner's picked the right man for the job. The cardinals have gone (8-6) and have already clinched their division. Kurt is without doubt one of the best Quarterbacks in the NFL today.
