Giant fans weren`t so quick to warm up to him, until he brought them a Super Bowl win against the undefeated New England Patriots. New York Giants the 2007 Superbowl champs. What is the price to be a great player on this franchise team? Well if you're running back Brandon Jacobs it would be about $4 million a year.
The running back has been given the franchise tag,and now they treated him like a franchise player. The Giants signed Jacobs to a four-year, $25 million deal that includes $13 million guaranteed and $15 million in the deal’s first two years. Does winning the Superbowl allow some one to become so important, or is Jacobs just that good at what he does? Well even if he is that good at what he does, is he worth that kind of money per season?

Jacobs has only been with the New York Giants since 2005 and has just finished his fourth season. His stats are pretty impressive and are improving every season! But could this be the season that he gets hurt, or the season that he really shines??? only time will tell. Jacobs has only missed nine games in his entire career, which has been with the Giants. Brandon has rushed for well over 2,600 yards in his career,which when averaged out is about 650 yards a season. Pretty impressive when you take into account that his first year as a Giant, He played every games that season and only netted 99 yards.
The future seems pretty bright if you're Brandon Jacobs,with a massive signing deal Brandon should be one of the highest payed running backs in the game today. And who know just might help to take his team once again to the Superbowl.
The New York Giants came into the game (11-2-0) and with all the rumors amongst the Cowboys (8-5-0), you would think that it should be an easy victory. But the Dallas Cowboys had something else for them.
In the first quarter it seemed that it was gonna be a boring game, both teams drove down field but were unable to get within field goal range. So the first quarter was attempt after attempt with no score. In the second quarter came the Cowboys with a long drive to strike first with a Touchdown and moments later an extra point kick to make it (7-0).
The Giants got the ball and ran down field but were stopped short of a touchdown, so John Carney came onto the field and super kicks a 47 yard field goal to make it a (7-3) game at halftime. Third quarter was as about as productive as the first quarter with no one scoring. Finally in the fourth quarter, Dallas drives down field to once again score. Instead of trying for the extra point,they went for the two-point conversion but failed to do so, and the game is now (13-3). The Giants got the ball back but was unable to have a scoring drive, and once again they had to kick back off to Dallas. This is where it seemed that the Giants luck might have changed.
The defense got a safety off of a sack on Tony Romo. But Romo thought quickly and knocked the ball out of the end zone so that they could only get three points instead of five. Dallas drives back down field and had gotten to the Giants 34 yard line is when the game turn to the Cowboys favor. It was second down and Romo handed the ball to Rookie running back Tashard Choice. Tashard ran untouched straight into the end zone to give Dallas another touchdown, now making the score (20-8). Only having 2:21 time left the Giants tried to drive back down field and maybe score again, but it was not to be with only 7 seconds of time left Eli Manning was picked off and ended their drive and the game.
The Giants have already Clinched their division, but they have to face The Carolina Panthers next week to see who claims Homefield Advantage. Also Dallas winning tonight helped to keep their Wildcard spot open,and if they continue to play as well as they did tonight they might just be at the Superbowl.
