The New Orleans Saints and The Chicago Bears were tied coming into last nights game at (7-6-0). They both needed the win to keep their teams spirit alive, but they knew only one could win.......
The Bears were the first to score ending the first quarter (7-0). Then in the second quarter the Saints tied it up. The Bears took over and drove back to the red zone to once again score a touchdown now making it a seven point lead. New Orleans got the ball back and drove to the Bears 39 yard line. This is where the second interception of the night helped Chicago gain an even bigger lead. Drew Brees interception was moment's later, yet again turned into another touchdown that now made the score (21-7) at halftime.
The second half started with Brees and the Saints Rallying back to get another touchdown to close the gap between them and the Bears. Now a seven point game, Kyle Orton and the Bears try to rally yet again to get another touchdown but were stopped in their attempts. Fourth quarter came and the Saints were marching down field to yet again score another touchdown, to put them only three points behind. Getting that much needed touchdown the Saints were very close and just needed to get a field goal to tie. The Bears regain possession of the ball and drove to the Saints 31 yard line but was stopped once again, giving the saints that chance they needed to score and be winning the game. With only 3:41 seconds left in the game the Saints get a field goal to tie the game. Hoping that Chicago would not score the Saints defense did everything they could to stop them. With 12 seconds on the clock the Bears kick a field goal to once again tie the game and go into overtime at (24-24)
Overtime started with Chicago and they drove down the field to the Saints 35 yard line. This is were the game would end with the Bears kicking a 35 yard field goal to make the score (24-27).
