Eli Manning has been booed and yet cheered by New York Giant fans all over the world. Giant fans weren`t so quick to warm up to him, until he brought them a Super Bowl win against the undefeated New England Patriots. That game earned him a lot of respect around the league as well as many Giant and NFL fans everywhere.
This has caused a dramatic climb in the amount of people purchasing his New York Giants # 10 jersey. His jersey has been seen at stadiums that the Giants are not even playing at. I don`t know if it is because he helped give the Patriots their first loss, or that Dolphin fans can continue to say they have the only undefeated season in league history.
In a league where a lot of players change teams and cause a "jersey craze", the Giants have signed Manning to a six-year $97.5 million dollar contract extension. This will help solidify the foundation of the Giants offense for years to come, and promise that he will not be changing jerseys anytime soon.
I think Eli has something great going on in a Giants jersey right now and I hope his success with the Giants will continue in the future, for my jersey`s sake at least.
