Whether or not you love Michael Vick or you hate him, the world appears to be moving on from his dark past of dog fighting. At least in the city of brotherly love for that matter. The Philadelphia Eagles have signed him to a two year deal to play for them as they see fit.
A lot of Vick fans who wore his famous #7 Atlanta Falcon jersey will now have to switch to an Eagles jersey. I admit he looks pretty sharp in white and green, it just seems a little bit weird. When NFL commissioner Roger Goodell decided to reinstate Vick and give him a second chance, his jersey seemed to be gaining momentum around the league.
I believe everyone deserves a second chance in life, it`s what you do with it that really shows if you are sincere and thankful about it that counts. So far so good for Vick in Philly. His #7 jersey can easily shoot back to the top like it once was, but Vick has to continue to show that he was serious about his partnership with the humane society and so forth.
Then everyone can see whether or not he made the most of his second chance. If the Eagles decide that things don`t work out, at least they gave him a second chance at football.
