Walter Payton and his #34 jersey will forever live in the minds of NFL fans forever, as well as the minds of defenses past and present. His Chicago Bears #34 jersey can be seen at any and every Bears game, as well as other stadiums around the league.
Payton was a legend playing and a legend while retired. He was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 1993 and was considered the best at his position during his time at running back.
Though he sadly passed away in November of 1999 at 45, he will be remembered for his great ability on the football field and his great devotion off the field to his friends, family, and his die-hard NFL fans. This is just a few reasons why people buy his Bears jersey. He is one of the few people that can say they played their whole career with one team.
Defenders knew when he was coming to either get out of the way or wind up on a highlight reel for NFL films. He will always be one of my favorite running backs and I honor him by wearing my #34 Bears jersey.
